Following from His Majesty's Ambassador;

My telegram No.206 Tour.

I have received a further memorandum from Waichiaopu

renewing request that removal order be cancelled. In

this document treaty is referred to in following phraseology:

"in thus persisting Hongkong Government appears to be acting

without due consideration for treaty provisions, friendly

feeling and people's liberty of residence".

Addressed to Foreign Office No.11; repeated to Peking

and Hongkong.
